Jessica Alba
Marie Claire cover girl Jessica Alba wears many hats, including actress, mom and founder of The Honest Company, which makes eco-friendly and non-toxic baby products.
"I started working on this three and a half years ago," Alba tells the magazine about her company. "I took a year off from acting when I had Honor, and I was home with her, diapering her, cleaning up after her, and I had a real frustration that I couldn't find healthy, non-toxic, and affordable products that actually worked. So I decided I needed to do something about it while my family and friends have young children."
Alba also talked about her changing style, and how being a mom has affected the way she dresses and carries herself.
"I had a show [Fox's Dark Angel] that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That's what people expected. I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!" she revealed. "Now that I'm older, I've learned how to own it, but I'm still not very overt. There are some women who dress for men. I dress for myself. It took me some time to get here. Being a mom and feeling grown-up have helped. Now if I'm going to wear something short, it has to have a high neck or a little sci-fi toughness to it, an edge."

Anna Paquin
Pregnant Anna Paquin wasn't showing when she graced the June 2012 cover of Zooey — and actually didn't reveal her baby news until after it had hit stands. The True Blood actress, who is expecting her first child with her co-star/husband Stephen Moyer, opened up... about shutting up!
"I think it’s important to have things that are just for you and people that are closest to you. Some people share absolutely everything, but then what do you have left that’s yours? It diminishes what’s really special in your life," she said, about having a reputation of being "mysterious."
Paquin, who plays Sookie in the hit HBO show, also explained why she revealed that she is bisexual.
"I’m not someone who endlessly talks about her personal life for no reason, but obviously, as someone who identifies as bisexual, those are issues I really care about," she said.
“I’m someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing,” Paquin reveals. “It’s not made up. It’s not a lack of decision. It’s not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I’ve heard at this point. ... For a bisexual, it’s not about gender. That’s not the deciding factor for who they’re attracted to.”

Jillian Michaels
Former Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels is a new mom — times two! Michaels, who recently came out as gay, adopted a daughter, and her partner, Heidi, just gave birth to a baby boy named Phoenix. Michaels opened up to Ladies' Home Journal about the one person who was negative about her "decision to adopt as a single mom."
"Ann Coulter," she said. "I met [the conservative commentator] during the first segment I ever did on The Doctors. She said I was a selfish narcissist for wanting to adopt as a single parent — that a child who grows up without a father is greatly disadvantaged. I'm a brawler, so when she said that I was like... come here, I'll knock you out. I completely appreciate the importance of fathers but millions of children are without loving homes. I think a child is lucky with one parent who truly loves her."
What terrifies her the most about being a mom?
"I'm afraid my limitations will hurt them in some way. Can I grow enough? Can I evolve fast enough to make sure I don't screw them up? With adopted kids or kids in general they tell you it's going to be trying, that they're not going to say, "Thanks for feeding me and giving me a house." This kid is not there to appreciate you, you know?" she reveals.

The ladies of What to Expect When You're Expecting
Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz, Brooklyn Decker and Anna Kendrick grace the June 2012 cover of Redbook— and open up about motherhood and their movie, What to Expect When You're Expecting.
Elizabeth Banks recently had a baby boy named Felix via gestational surrogate and talked to Redbook about whether there is a right time to start a family. “I definitely don’t think [you have to wait for] a right time. I mean: Why wait? The Chinese believe that if you have a baby, what you want comes together even better. You just do it, and make it work.”
Lopez, who has twins Max and Emme, revealed how she de-stresses. “My sanctuary is my bathtub. That’s really the only time I get to myself. It’s usually around 15 or 20 minutes, but for me, those minutes are like heaven on earth. Sometimes I even say a little prayer while I’m in there. I’m like, ‘Lord, help me get through this day!’”
Thirty-nine-year-old Diaz addressed the never-ending questions about when she will have a baby. “I’m sure a lot of people would expect that I would have had a child by my age. But it’s not what I’ve wanted out of my life thus far. We still live in a largely chauvinistic world. There’s a box people put themselves in, and when you [live] outside of it, that makes them uncomfortable — they have to look at themselves and question their own choices.“
